Govt charting out good governance roadmap: Acting PM Khadka
Acting Prime Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka said the government was in preparation to chart out national action plan with governance road map. Inaugurating the three-day trainers’ training hosted by Nepali Congress Training Academy Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) at Gaidnakot today, he said the government would announce a plan of action with governance roadmap within a month. “The service recipients would free from the hassles in accessing public services in two or three months following the rollout of this campaign. The government in turn would gain public trust”, he added.
17-kilometer area cleared along the Dashgaja in Nepal-India border: APF Nepal
In coordination with the Nepali and Indian security organizations, both countries are making progress in clearing the Dasgaja border area.According to Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal’s spokesperson, Rajendra Khadka, nearly 17 kilometers of the Dasgaja border area has been cleared by removing 56 huts in 38 locations in coordination with the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). During the press conference organized by APF, Khadka informed that in the same sequence, construction activities have been halted in 18 locations and farming in around 13.32 hectares of area under the ‘No Man’s Land’ area.
Madhes Province dominates Prime Minister Cup: Defeats Karnali Province by 61 runs
In a thrilling encounter at the Tribhuvan University (TU) cricket ground, Madhes Province emerged victorious against Karnali Province by a convincing 61-run margin in a match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024.Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Madhes Province set the stage with a competitive total of 231 runs, losing nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Karnali Province, tasked with chasing the target, managed to restrict Madhes Province effectively but fell short in their own batting innings, getting all out at 170 runs in 41.1 overs.
RPP Chairman denies decision to recall Speakers in Koshi and Bagmati Provinces
The Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), while visiting Koshi Province, has refuted claims that the party has made a decision to call back the Speakers of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces. In a statement to Khabarhub.com, Chairman Lingden clarified that, despite announcing upcoming programs of protests and demonstrations, no official decisions have been made regarding the recall of its Speakers. Lingden emphasized that discussions within the party are ongoing, and any such action has not been finalized.
Maoist Center General Secretary Gurung faces corruption allegations by central committee member
Dev Gurung, the general secretary of the CPN-aoist Center, is under scrutiny as allegations of corruption surface, according to claims made by Gorakh Bahadur KC, a central committee member of the party. n an issued clarification letter, KC, who had previously faced disciplinary action from the party, maintains that Gurung played a role in corrupt practices.The party had taken action against KC and a member of his secretariat for their inappropriate behavior towards a Chinese national during the distribution of relief materials for the victims of the Jajarkot earthquake.
Over 27,000 quake survivors in Jajarkot region receive first installment for temporary housing grants
In a significant relief effort, a total of 27,091 individuals among the 42,524 earthquake survivors in Jajarkot have received the first installment of grant support earmarked for temporary housing. The District Administration Office confirmed this development in a recent statement. Breaking down the distribution, Administrative Officer Harishchandra Sharma revealed that 4,642 out of 6,634 survivors in Bheri Municipality, 7,150 out of 8,907 in Nalgad Municipality, and 2,188 out of 8,205 in Chedagad have successfully received the grant assistance.
