19.5 km blacktopped in Muglin-Pokhara road expansion

DAMAULI: Significant progress has been achieved in the Muglin-Pokhara road expansion project as 19.5 km of the roadway has now been successfully blacktopped.

The blacktopping efforts, led by Engineer Bishnu Prasad Pande under the project, stretch from Anbukhaireni to Bandipur in Tanahu district.

Engineer Pande highlighted that a notable aspect of this blacktopping initiative is the establishment of a two-way pitch covering a distance of 7.2 km.

Presently, blacktopping activities are in progress at the Baradi section, where work will be conducted on both sides of the road to enhance the overall road infrastructure.

This development comes as a relief to locals and travelers who had previously voiced concerns about the inconvenience caused by the dusty road conditions.

The completion of this blacktopping phase is expected to significantly improve the overall quality of the road and enhance the commuting experience for the community.

In addition to the road improvements, a noteworthy development is the construction of a motorable bridge in an arc design over the Madi River.

The bridge, connecting Byas municipality ward no. 4 and 5, is a vital component of the project and is being constructed at a cost of Rs 210 million.

The Muglin-Pokhara road expansion project is progressing in two phases, with a focus on enhancing transportation infrastructure and addressing the needs of the local population.

The ongoing efforts aim to not only improve connectivity but also contribute to the overall development and convenience of the region.
