Minister Yadav directs to promptly complete the Melamchi pipeline works



KATHMANDU: Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav has directed the bodies concerned to promptly conclude the works related to the pipelines installed for supplying the water brought from Melamchi to different places in Kathmandu Valley.

Minister Yadav issued this instruction after observing the works related to the pipeline installation at local Indrachowk, Janabahal, New Road, Asan, among other places today.

He also stressed on the need of preventing water leakage.

Stating that water was leaking at many places as the quality of work was not assured, the Water Supply Minister directed the officials concerned to carry out repair and maintenance at the locations where there is water leakage.

Minister Yadav was accompanied by Water Supply Ministry Secretary Pramila Devi Shakya Bajracharya and senior officials of the Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), Project Implementation Directorate, during the inspection and monitoring visit.
