SAPTARI: Police have arrested a person along with 17 quintals and 36 kilogrammes marijuana at Rajgadh Rural Municipality-4 in Saptari district.
Police confiscated 56 sacks of marijuana covered in sand and concrete loaded on a tipper which was heading towards Jhutaki from Patthargadha.
Police impounded the tipper and took the driver, 33-year-old Yamjit Rai of Sahid Bhumi Rural Municipality-3, Dhankuta district under control last night.
Police will seek permission from the court today to keep Rai in police custody for further investigation.
