Today’s weather forecast: Partly cloudy across the country, light rain expected in hill areas



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the influence of both westerly and local winds.

According to the department, some areas in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly to generally cloudy weather, while the rest of the country has partly cloudy to mainly clear skies. Light rain is expected to occur in a few places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

This afternoon, the weather in the hilly regions is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, while other parts of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions. There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in a few hilly areas.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with the hilly regions, will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will continue to experience partly cloudy to mainly clear weather. A few places in the hilly regions of these provinces may also see light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
