Heavy rain likely in five provinces including Bagmati

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon wind is currently influencing the country, with the monsoon’s low-pressure line positioned to the south of normal place.

Currently, the country is generally cloudy with light to moderate rains occurring in some areas of Gandaki, Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Madhes, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has forecasted partly to mostly cloudy skies across the country this afternoon.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali provinces, and one or two places in the remaining provinces.

Additionally, there is a chance of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Madhes, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with the likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has stated that the country will experience partly to mostly cloudy conditions over the next 24 hours.

It has urged everyone to be cautious of potential flash floods, floods, landslides, and soil erosion in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
