Speaker Ghimire directs ministers to respond to lawmakers within seven days



KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has compelled ministers to address questions raised during zero and special hours in the parliament within a strict seven-day timeframe.

Expressing concern that issues brought up during zero and special hours have been overlooked, Speaker Ghimire emphatically urged ministers to take prompt and decisive action.

He emphasized the obligation of ministers to respond to parliamentary matters within seven days, citing Rule 15 of the House of Representatives Regulations-2079.

“I insist that the government adheres to this provision and promptly addresses the concerns raised by Members within the stipulated timeframe,” declared Speaker Ghimire during a parliamentary session on Sunday.
