KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has convened a meeting of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) to address the ongoing dispute concerning the operation of Gaushala Dharmashala.

The Minister has instructed PADT to refrain from any activities related to the Dharmashala.

In a letter sent to the Trust on October 16, Minister Pandey—who also serves as the Chairperson of PADT—expressed concerns about disturbances to peace and security at the Dharmashala and requested that efforts to vacate it be halted.

PADT Spokesperson Rewati Raman Adhikari confirmed to RSS that the Minister has scheduled the meeting at the Ministry for October 20.

The dispute arose after PADT announced plans to manage the Gaushala Dharmashala in collaboration with Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

This decision has prompted protests from the Marwadi Sewa Samiti, which has been operating the facility.
