Shree Airlines flight overshoots landing after dog runs onto runway in Surkhet



KATHMANDU: A Shree Airlines flight from Kathmandu avoided disaster on Monday afternoon when a dog ran onto the runway just as the plane was preparing to land at Surkhet Airport.

The aircraft, with call sign 9N122, was scheduled to land at 1:15 pm when the dog appeared on the tarmac, prompting the pilot to abort the landing.

The plane made three loops before safely landing on a subsequent approach.

The flight later departed for Kathmandu. No injuries were reported.
