Former Kathmandu Mayor PL Singh passes away



KATHMANDU: Former Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, PL Singh, has passed away.

Singh, 85, died this morning (Monday) at his residence in Chaksibari, Thamel, according to family sources. He had been battling an ulcer for a long time.

Singh was also a key aide to Ganeshman Singh in the fight for democracy. Recently, he had parted ways with the Nepali Congress.

Singh became the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City after winning the local elections in 2049 BS.
