Lumbini Province government appoints office-bearers to Lumbini Planning Commission



LUMBINI: The Lumbini Province Government has appointed office-bearers to the vacant posts in the Lumbini Province Planning Commission.

A meeting of the Lumbini provincial government, Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya today decided to appoint Dr Dilli Raj Aryal, a resident of Malika rural municipality-8, Gulmi, to the post of Vice Chairman of the Province Planning Commission.

Similarly, the meeting appointed Dr Sudan Kumar Oli of Pariwartan rural municipality-6 Rolpa, Bhwan Chaudhary of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-16, Dang and Shanta Devi Dhakal of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City -18, Rupandehi as members to the Commission, said Province Government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives.

The meeting decided to recommend to the Federal Government to fix the administrative centre of Shantinagar rural municipality of Dang to Jumlekula from the present Chiraghat at the rural municipality-4.

The 15th Rural Municipality Assembly had decided to shift the rural municipality’s administrative centre by a two-thirds majority.

Similarly, the provincial Council of Ministers’ meeting has decided to recommend to the Government of Nepal for the required decision for establishing sister-city relations between Musikot Municipality of Gulmi and Bungo Ono City in Oita Prefecture of Japan.
