KATHMANDU: The Thai-Nepal Friendship Association has been formed with the objective of enhancing mutual relations and cooperation between Thai and Nepali citizens.

The first Thai mountaineer and businessperson Vitignadhan Rojnapanit is the president of the Association which was established in Thailand, according to the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok.

The Association will also work to promote cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in social, economic, cultural and academic fields.

On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Thailand Dhan Bahadur Oli expressed his commitment to support the newly formed Association to achieve its goals.
