Weather: Partial westerly influence continues in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The country continues to experience a partial influence of westerly winds. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in some parts of the Terai this afternoon.

The Division said the weather will be partly cloudy in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly clear. Light to moderate rainfall is likely in parts of the Terai during the morning and evening.

The forecast further notes that similar conditions are expected to prevail, with partly cloudy skies in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki and generally fair weather elsewhere. The coldwave conditions in the Terai are expected to persist.

The Division has urged drivers of both long- and short-distance vehicles to remain cautious, warning that strong winds, fog, and reduced visibility in parts of the Terai could affect road safety and cause delays in air services at several airports.
