Police publicize suspects in Money Transfer operator shooting case

RAUTAHAT: The police made the three Indian nationals arrested on allegations of shooting at the money transfer operator Nitesh Sah public on Saturday.

District Police Office, Rautahat disclosed that 19-year-old Munif Kumar Yadav, 18-year-old Raj Kumar Paswan, and 20-year-old Chandrabhan Singh alias Chunu Kumar Singh, from Motihari Thana Chiraiya Dipahi Gaun-2 in Bihar’s East Champaran district, were arrested in the case.

They had allegedly shot at Nitesh Sah, 26, the son of Birendra Sah, residing in Duhabi-9 on Friday afternoon.

The three had arrived on an Indian motorcycle with registration number BR06C 979 at the Shiva Money Transfer Office, where they shot at Sah.

The police informed that it recovered a home-made pistol, eight rounds of ammunition used in it, a semi-automatic pistol of caliber 7.62 mm, and its magazine, along with five rounds of bullets, were recovered.

Further investigations have been initiated into the attempted murder, possession of illegal arms, and robbery allegations, the police said.

After being injured by the gunshot, Sah was initially treated at Gaur Provincial Hospital and was sent to Birgunj for further treatment.

The police informed that Sah has again referred to Tilganga Eye Hospital, Kathmandu after noticing further complications.
