Three held for Susta shooting

NAWALPARASI: Police on Sunday arrested and made public three persons in connection with a shooting occurred three days back at Susta.

Rohan Mahato, 23, from Musahar village was killed in the shooting.

Those made public by the police are Bishal Musahar, 22, Mohan Tharu, 21, and Sahil Tharu, 18, from Mahalbari of Susta-2 in the district.

The preliminary investigation has shown that all of them were friends and in a fit of rage, a homemade pistol was used to shoot Mahato that ultimately took his life.

Information to this was shared by District Police Office, Paschim Nawalparasi.

The youths involved in metal wielding had themselves made the pistol using iron spade and rubber.

The minor dispute among them led to use of weapon.

The police also recovered a homemade pistol, 28 shrapnel, a dozen of boxes of matchsticks, three frames to fill with shrapnel.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal, informed that the materials were brought from the market near border.

Investigation was initiated under the laws relating to arms and weapon, and murder.
