HoR meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is taking place today at 1:00 PM.

The agenda includes the discussion and potential passage of several significant legislative proposals.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to present a proposal to pass the ‘Banking Offenses and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081’.

Before this, he is slated to propose that the ‘Banking Offenses and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080’ be reviewed alongside the Finance Committee’s report.

Following this, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya is slated to introduce a proposal to pass the ‘Legislation Bill, 2081’.

Prior to this, Minister Chaurasiya is scheduled to move a motion to discuss the ‘Legislation Bill, 2080’, which originated in the National Assembly, along with the report from the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee.

In addition, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to present the ‘Annual Report of the National Information Commission for the Year 2079/80’.

Meanwhile, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out a letter from the Prime Minister’s Office regarding the increase in workload, as informed by Padma Prasad Pandey, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament.

Similarly, in today’s National Assembly meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is expected to respond to oral questions related to the Ministry of Finance.
