BHOJPUR: The Panchdhare-Chakhewa road in Bhojpur remains disrupted due to a huge landslide triggered by rain.

Vehicular movement has been stalled as the road is blocked by landslide debris at Ghurbise of Rumathumki area which lies in Temkemaiyung-9 of the district.

“It is even risky to walk on that section of the road as a big landslide has occurred from above the road. The landslide has washed away a section of the road which has made travel perilous,” said Ekraj Bista, a local from the area.

According to him, the landslide has not stopped and locals’ life has become difficult with the disruption of transport services. This road connects Bhojpur with Khotang district.

Man Bahadur Sunar, a resident of Panchdhare, Temkemaiyung-9, said that besides the people in the western side of Bhojpur district, those of the neighbouring district Khotang are also affected with the disruption of transport service.
