Man dies in electrocution in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: A man was electrocuted while working in a field in Rautahat on Monday.

Chunilal Paswan, a 45-year-old resident of Gonahtol in Dewahi Gonahi Municipality-7, died from electrocution while working in his field.

Paswan was injured at 1:20 pm by an electric wire installed by his neighbor, Ramdaresh Ray Yadav, which ran through his field.

Immediately, a team led by Inspector Uttam Kumar Shrestha from the Dewahi security base and another team led by Inspector Kushram Karki from the Area Police Office in Dewahi Gonahi rushed Paswan to Grandi Hospital in Shivnagar for treatment.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at 1:50 pm, according to Rautahat Armed Police Chief SP Bikram Humagain.

DSP Rameshwar Twati, Chief of the Area Police Office in Garuda, stated that Ramdaresh Ray Yadav, who had set up the electric wire through Paswan’s field, is currently on the run.

The police are searching for him.

Paswan’s body has been sent to the Provincial Hospital in Gaur for post-mortem, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
