Karnali province prioritizes physical infrastructure and urban development in FY 2081/82 budget

KATHMANDU: The Karnali Province government has placed a strong emphasis on physical infrastructure and urban development for the upcoming fiscal year.

Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Mahendra KC, unveiled the provincial budget on Saturday, allocating Rs 10.46 billion to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development for the fiscal year 2081/82.

Additionally, Rs 2.86 billion has been earmarked for the Ministry of Social Development, while Rs 296.4 million has been allocated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

The Ministry of Land Affairs and Agriculture will receive Rs 1.86 billion, and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment has been allocated Rs 1.94 billion.
