Kathmandu Valley to feel respite from heat later this evening

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has announced that the Kathmandu Valley will experience a respite from the rising temperatures later this evening.

The temperature has declined slightly today. Meteorologist Saroj Pudashaini shared that the Kathmandu Valley is experiencing the general impact of the monsoon, which has caused light rainfall this afternoon.

A thundershower is predicted for tonight. Although the monsoon is spreading towards the west from the east, this should be considered only a pre-monsoon phase, according to him.

The weather will be cooler this afternoon compared to yesterday, Pudashaini said, adding that the maximum temperature is predicted to range from 29 to 31°C today, while it was 33.4°C on Friday.
