Cold wave disrupts daily lives in Sunsari

SUNSARI: The residents of Sunsari are grappling with the effects of an intense cold spell that has persisted over the past few days.

The district is currently shrouded in thick fog, accompanied by a biting cold wave.

The harsh weather conditions have disrupted normal life, especially for the low-income population residing in various areas, including the district headquarters Inaruwa, Bhokraha, Koshi, Gadhi, Duhabi, Ramdhuni, Itahari, Dharan, Barahakshetra, Harinagar, and Devangunj.

Among those most significantly impacted are daily wage earners who are finding it challenging to engage in outdoor work, according to Bhatai Sada of Koshi rural municipality-6.

Responding to the urgent need, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Inaruwa took initiative last Sunday by distributing blankets to those in need.

Birendra Kumar Shah, the Chamber President, stated that the assistance materials were provided to the needy through the collaborative efforts of the Chamber and the District Administration Office, Sunsari.
