Lalitpur reports 38 cholera cases out of 50 nationwide

LALITPUR: Cholera cases have recently surged, with Lalitpur district alone reporting 38 cases.

According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, the total number of cholera cases across the country reached 50.

The Division reported two cases in Kathmandu district, eight in Kailali, and two more in Pyuthan district.

In response, rapid response teams have been deployed in collaboration with provincial and local governments to address the outbreak.

These teams are actively screening both patients and those in close contact with them, according to the Division.
