KATHMANDU: A low-pressure system originating around Bihar, India, is making an impact on Nepal’s weather patterns, leading to anticipated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across select provinces.
As of Tuesday morning, the Weather Forecast Division has noted a partial shift in weather dynamics across the nation, particularly in hilly areas, while clearer conditions prevail elsewhere.
This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy over hilly regions, with partial clearing in other areas.
The Divisionn has also forecasted thunder, lightning, and light rainfall in scattered locales of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated spots in Madhes Province and remaining hilly areas.
Additionally, there’s a chance of light snowfall in select high-altitude and Himalayan regions.
Tonight, Gandaki and Karnali Provinces are likely to witness partly to mostly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.
