Prime Minister Dahal urges enrollment of school-going children



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has called upon all parents and guardians to ensure the enrollment of school-going children in schools.

As the new academic year commences alongside the onset of New Year 2081, the Prime Minister emphasized that education is a fundamental right guaranteed by the constitution.

He underscored the government’s commitment to make basic level education compulsory for all by the year 2085.

“The government is dedicated to providing equal access to quality school education, with significant contributions from development partners, civil society, and the private sector,” stated the Prime Minister.

Highlighting various initiatives such as free textbooks, mid-day meals, scholarships, and improved educational infrastructure, Prime Minister Dahal stressed the importance of collective efforts to enhance the effectiveness of investments in education.

In his statement, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes to all Nepalis for the New Year 2081, expressing confidence that the fundamental right to education would be realized by ensuring the enrollment of all children in schools at the beginning of the year.
