KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has heightened its preparations for the Mahasamiti meeting scheduled to be held in Godavari, Lalitpur, from February 19 to 22.

The Mahasamiti’s Publicity Subcommittee held a press conference on Wednesday at the party headquarters in Sanepa, underscoring the expedited preparations for the meeting.

Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, the chief of the party’s publicity department, revealed that approximately 56 pages of policy proposals encompassing economic, social, religious, cultural, and political subjects would be presented to the Mahasamiti.

These proposals, intended to be transformed into a policy convention during the Mahasamiti Meeting, aim to address the current political landscape and instill confidence among the general public.

Bishwakarma emphasized the party’s commitment to remaining trustworthy, dynamic, and dedicated in every effort for systemic change.

The Mahasamiti meeting, slated to conclude with the policy convention, anticipates the participation of around 2,300 individuals from diverse backgrounds.
