Palpa Jeep Accident: Death toll rises as victims identified



KATHMANDU: The toll from a tragic Jeep accident (Lu 1 Jha 2371) in Palpa district has climbed to 10, as confirmed by authorities.

Among the victims, eight lost their lives at the scene of the accident, while two passed away during treatment at Lumbini Medical College.

The fatal incident occurred when the Jeep veered out of control and plummeted 300 meters down the road.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Yan Kumari Panta, 60, from Tinau Rural Municipality-6; Ram Bahadur Asami, 39; Krishna Bahadur Aslami, 67; and Urmila Aslami, 28, all from Tinau-6; Chandra Rana Pal, 7; and Chuna Rana Pal from Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-14.

Additionally, Gita Sunar, 20, from Tinau-2; Bishnu Kala Kami, 66; Dil Kumari Sunar, 65, from Rebdikot Rural Municipality-1; and Dil Maya GC, 29, from Devdaha Municipality-5 were among those who tragically lost their lives in the accident, as per Suganda Shrestha, the information officer at District Police Office, Palpa.
