One-way traffic resumes on Araniko Highway

KATHMANDU: Traffic on the Araniko Highway has been restored to one-way following a landslide in Panchkhal, Kavre.

The highway was obstructed last night around 10 pm due to a dry landslide in Panchkhal Municipality-8.

Vehicles began moving one way on the road from 9 am on Sunday morning after the debris was cleared.

The road had been completely blocked overnight at a location in Panchkhal Municipality, approximately 50 kilometers along the Araniko Highway.

Landslides were cleared through coordination with local authorities and the road department.

Min Bahadur Ghale, Information Officer of the District Police Office in Kavre, stated that efforts to remove any remaining landslides are ongoing.
