Arrest warrant issued for Chairperson of Biruwa RM in cooperative fraud case

KATHMANDU: An arrest warrant has been issued for Surya Bahadur Kuwar, the Chairperson of Biruwa Rural Municipality (RM), in connection with a cooperative fraud case.

The District Court of Syangja issued the warrant on Tuesday.

Kuwar is accused of being involved in irregularities during his tenure as secretary of the Syangja-based Surya Savings and Credit Cooperative, according to the police.

Jeevan Wagle, the operator of the cooperative, has already been arrested in relation to this case.
