President Paudel calls for economic self-sufficiency in New Year message



KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel extended his New Year greetings to all Nepali citizens, emphasizing the importance of building a self-sufficient economy through entrepreneurship and national capital formation.

In his message marking the occasion of the New Year 2081 BS, he urged everyone to contribute to the nation-building efforts and expedite pending projects.

Paudel stressed the need for fostering a robust economy by promoting domestic production, developing entrepreneurship, and creating job opportunities for the youth.

He called upon the government at all levels and stakeholders to prioritize policies aimed at advancing education, healthcare, agriculture, and environmental protection, crucial elements directly impacting people’s lives and contributing to sustainable development goals.

Expressing his hopes for a year filled with social justice and prosperity, the President wished for the safety and well-being of all Nepalis, hoping to avert natural disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, and floods in the coming year.
