UML Chairman Oli urges NC President Deuba to engage in dialogue for stability

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has called upon Sher Bahadur Deuba, the President of the main opposition party Nepali Congress, to engage in dialogue and discussion.

Addressing the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Oli emphasized the need for smooth transitions in the face of the evolving environment and current challenges.

Expressing concern about the state of the nation, Oli urged Deuba to prioritize constructive dialogue over opposition politics.

“Let’s talk, discuss, and solve problems together. The country is in trouble. Nothing works, speech does not work?” Oli urged Deuba.

As a former prime minister himself, Oli highlighted the positive initiatives undertaken by the government and called upon the Nepali Congress party to play a role in resolving the challenges at hand.

“The government has started positive work, and the Nepali Congress should help in solving the problem,” he asserted.

Reflecting on the shifting dynamics of power, UML Chairman Oli emphasized the need to halt certain trends.

“It was bound to happen; such trends should be stopped. Sher Bahadur Deuba was in power yesterday, a former Prime Minister. Today, I am on the side of the government, I am also a former prime minister,” he commented.
