Former Lumbini State Chief Yadav passes away at 80



SIRAHA: Dharmanath Prasad Yadav, the former State Chief of Lumbini Province, breathed his last at the age of 80 at his residence in Sukhipur Municipality 6, Siraha, on Tuesday night.

A prominent figure in the political arena, Yadav had been a stalwart leader and was appointed as the head of Lumbini province on November 4, 2019, representing the CPN-UML.

Yadav, who transitioned from a teaching career to embrace UML politics in 2048 BS, played a role in shaping the political landscape of the region.

Having battled various ailments over an extended period, Yadav had recently overcome paralysis.

In his final days, he resided in Golbazar Municipality 6 of Siraha, living alongside his son and daughter-in-law.

Family sources have confirmed that Yadav’s cremation will be held today.
