Dhorpatan accident: Three injured airlifted to Pokhara



GALKOT, BAGLUNG: Three persons who were critically injured in a jeep accident in Baglung Dhorpatan this morning were taken to Pokhara for further treatment via helicopter.

Two persons died on the spot and nine others were injured when the jeep heading to the Dhoraptan Valley from Burtibang Bazaar met with the accident at Dhorpatan municipality-5, Astu.

Seriously injured Laxmi Gaire, Jognarayan Gaire, and Niruta Gaire were sent to Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital for treatment, informed Information Officer of the District Police Office, Baglung, Police Inspector Deepak Babu KC.

The other six injured are being treated at Burtibang primary health post. Jeep driver Tilak Ghartimagar, 30, of Dhorapatan municipality-4 and Sangeeta Adhikari, 28, of Chandragiri municipality-11 died on the spot.

The accident took place due to brake failure, it is said.
