15 UML leaders leaving for China today

KATHMANDU: Fifteen leaders of the ruling CPN-UML are leaving for China today under the leadership of Senior Vice Chair Ishwor Pokharel.

According to UML sources, this visit comes at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who also serves as Prime Minister, will visit China shortly after this high-level delegation.

The visiting team includes Senior Vice President Pokharel, UML Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta, legal practitioner Sanuraj Pokharel, UML Karnali Chair Gorakh Bahadur Bogati, UML central members Sarita Bhusal, Shanti Dhakal, and Koshi State Committee Secretary Rajkumar Bhandari.

Additionally, the team features Prime Minister’s personal secretary Roshni Meche, a member of the Foreign Affairs Department, Dipendra Shrestha, Jhapa’s Gaurigunj Rural Municipality Vice Chairman Pujan Neupane, Madhesh Pradesh Committee Deputy Secretary Mohammad, Publicity Department member Deepak Gyawali, central advisor Tara Baral, and Niti Pratishthan member Ashish Regmi.

The Chinese side has proposed the dates of December 2-6 for Prime Minister Oli’s visit.
