Two houses collapse in Baitadi landslide



BAITADI: Two houses collapsed in Dilashaini, Baitadi, due to a landslide triggered by heavy rain.

The home of Ammar Bohara from Daunkhola in Dilashaini Rural Municipality-3 was severely damaged.

Police Inspector Balram Pandey, spokesperson for the District Police Office, reported that all crops and possessions inside Bohara’s house were destroyed.

Additionally, the homes of local residents Naresh Bohara and Bahadur Bohara are at risk due to the ongoing landslide.

Dilashaini Rural Municipality Chair Santosh Joshi stated that the local government would undertake relief and rehabilitation efforts for the affected individuals.

The District Administration Office has urged residents to take necessary precautions, as further disasters may occur during the rainy season.
