Tribhuvan University: PM Dahal appoints KC and Rijal as Rector and Registrar

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has appointed Prof. Dr. Khadga KC and Dr. Kedar Rijal to the positions of Rector and Registrar respectively at Tribhuvan University.

PM Dahal, who also serves as the university’s Chancellor, made these appointments two weeks after they were recommended by the Vice-Chancellor.

The recommendations for their appointment were made on March 28 by Vice-Chancellor Professor Keshar Jung Baral, in accordance with the provisions of the Tribhuvan University Act.

Upon receiving the recommendations, Prime Minister Dahal directed the Vice-Chancellor to reconsider, causing a delay in the appointment process.

However, after continued pressure and insistence from Vice-Chancellor Baral, Chancellor Dahal appointed both individuals as originally recommended.
