KATHMANDU: Gold prices have soared to unprecedented levels yet again, with fine gold reaching a new record high of Rs 139,000 per tola on Friday.
This surge of Rs 2,400 per tola further adds to the remarkable spike witnessed in recent weeks, reflecting the ongoing volatility in the precious metals market.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has now been fixed at Rs 139,000 per tola, while standard gold is being traded at Rs 138,350 per tola.
The fine gold was traded at Rs 136,600 per tola, and standard gold was traded at Rs 135,950 per tola on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the price of silver has remained relatively stable, holding steady at Rs 1,750 per tola.
It’s important to note that a tola is equivalent to 11.66 grams
