Heavy rainfall expected in some areas of four provinces

KATHMANDU: The monsoon winds are currently influencing weather patterns across the country, with the low-pressure system positioned near its usual location.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are generally overcast, while the rest of the country is experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions.

Light to moderate rainfall is occurring nationwide.

Today, weather conditions are expected to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country, with light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, likely in parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated areas within these provinces.

Tonight, conditions will remain partly to generally cloudy, with a continued chance of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Due to the potential for heavy rainfall in specific areas of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Department has advised the public to stay alert.
