RPP parliamentary party meeting scheduled for Thursday

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary party will meet today to decide whether to support the current government with a vote of confidence.

The meeting, scheduled to be held at the parliamentary party office, will involve discussions with RPP leaders to make a decision based on their suggestions, according to RPP leader Rajaram Shrestha.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is seeking a vote of confidence on July 12 after several political parties, including CPN (UML), withdrew their support from the government.

The RPP has 14 lawmakers in the House of Representatives.
