KATHMANDU: The eastern part of the country is currently under the influence of the monsoon system, while the rest of the country is under the partial influence of local winds, westerly winds, and the low-pressure area formed around Bihar in India.

At present (Tuesday), the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the remaining areas are experiencing partial to cloudy conditions.

A couple of places in Koshi state are currently receiving light rain.

This afternoon, partly to generally cloudy conditions will prevail over hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki regions along with the Koshi Province.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the weather will be mostly clear in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in the afternoon at a few places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, including the Koshi Province, and a couple of places.

Additionally, there is a possibility of storms in Lumbini, Karnali, and a few places in Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions will prevail over hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, including the Koshi Province.
