Kathmandu likely to witness moderate rainfall today

KATHMANDU: The weather across Kathmandu Valley has mirrored the shifting patterns seen throughout the country, with clouds gathering overhead.

The Weather Forecast Division has forecasted a potential for light to moderate rain in Kathmandu Valley today.

Light rain, defined as rainfall less than 10 mm, may precede moderate rain, ranging between 10 mm and 50 mm.

The Valley’s weather remains in flux, with sporadic rain likely as the day progresses, the Division said.

Even if there are breaks in the rainfall, showers are expected to return by afternoon.

However, while the rain may not persist continuously, intermittent spells are anticipated, with a pattern of brief cessation followed by renewed showers, according to the Division.

This morning, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was recorded at 18.5 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures expected to peak between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius.
