PM Dahal pledges priority to eastern region in upcoming budget



BIRATNAGAR: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced that the eastern region of the country will receive top priority in the upcoming fiscal year’s government policies, programs, and budget.

Speaking at a joint meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre), province central committee members, and province office-bearers today, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the government’s commitment to formulating a budget that fosters economic prosperity and socialism nationwide.

He highlighted that the forthcoming fiscal year’s policies, programs, and budget will be geared towards promoting production and generating employment opportunities.

The Prime Minister also underscored the government’s significant initiatives aimed at benefitting the people.

Reflecting on the increasing optimism among the populace due to the government’s positive actions, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Dahal stressed the importance of showcasing these achievements in governance and social justice to the public.

Dahal urged unity among all participants of the Maoist movement, noting a growing consensus among members of the Socialist Forum towards unity. He emphasized the collective responsibility of standing together in solidarity.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Dahal cautioned against efforts to undermine the hard-won achievements of the Maoist movement, such as federalism, inclusivity, and secularism. He urged vigilance in protecting these gains.

Dahal provided updates on legislative developments, mentioning the progress of the Federal Civil Service Act and the preparedness of the Federal Police Act, along with ongoing implementation efforts for the Province Police Act.
