Festivals help build a prosperous society through mutual unity: PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that Eid would help build a just and prosperous society through mutual unity, tolerance, and harmony among all Nepalis.

Extending his wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the great festival of Muslims, Prime Minister Dahal said the festival will contribute to promoting brotherhood among all Nepalis, enhancing social harmony, and inspiring a national campaign towards building national unity, development, and prosperity for Nepal.

“In a multi-ethnic, multilingual, and multicultural country, Eid has been established as a national festival, not just for any particular community,” he said.

The Eid festival has been playing an important role in enriching religious diversity in Nepal and promoting the culture of tolerance and cooperation, the Prime Minister said.
