Temperature in Kathmandu Valley increasing steadily



KATHMANDU: The temperature in Kathmandu Valley has been steadily increasing.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the initial minimum temperature in the valley today (Sunday) was recorded at 5.0 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am.

However, a subsequent measurement at 8:45 am revealed a slight drop in temperature.

Yesterday (Saturday), the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was 4.5 degrees Celsius, and on Friday, it was 3.5 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is likely to range between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature reached 21.3 degrees Celsius, while on Friday it was 18.2 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature within a 24-hour period is designated as the minimum temperature, measured by 8:45 am, while the highest temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm.

Meteorologists note a gradual increase in temperatures nationwide and anticipate the transition to the pre-monsoon season after February.

With a light morning breeze and generally clear weather in Kathmandu Valley, meteorogists suggest that any discomfort will dissipate as the day progresses.

According to the Division, the weather is likely to remain generally clear throughout the day in the Valley.
