SIMKOT: Humla District Hospital has recently experienced a surge in patient numbers, with many individuals seeking treatment for common colds.
Dr. Sunil Pujara reported that the hospital has struggled to accommodate the growing number of patients due to its limited capacity of just 15 beds.
Last Sunday, the hospital served 150 patients, the majority of whom were suffering from common colds, fevers, diarrhea, pneumonia, and gastritis.
On Monday, despite facing resource constraints, the hospital attended to nearly 90 patients.
Dr. Pujara noted that the average daily patient influx is typically around 50, but recent days have seen a significant increase, highlighting the limitations of the facility.
Patients are arriving from various villages, including Thehe, Jodam, Dandaphaya, Dharapori, Buraunse, Bargau, Yanchu, Maja, and Chhipra.
Despite the rise in patient numbers, Dr. Pujara assured that there is no shortage of medicine at the hospital.
