Youth dies after jumping from roof of Manmohan Hospital



KATHMANDU: A 21-year-old youth tragically died after jumping from the sixth floor of the Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center on Saturday.

According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. when the youth, identified as Swarupraj Acharya of Gokarneshwor-4, jumped from the roof of a café located on the sixth floor of the hospital building.

Acharya was reportedly having coffee at the café prior to the incident.

After the fall, he was immediately rushed to the emergency room within the same building but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, as confirmed by the police.

Police reports indicate that Acharya was neither a patient nor a relative of a patient at the hospital.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
