Two individuals electrocuted in Kalikot tragedy



MANMA: A tragic incident occurred in Naraharinath rural municipality-8 of Kalikot district this morning, resulting in the death of two individuals due to electric shock.

The victims were identified as Keshav Raj Thapa, 43, and his nephew Ganga Thapa, 27, hailing from Lalu village.

Reports suggest that the fatal incident took place while the duo was involved in expanding the electricity line from the Chakha Kaldhunga Substation.

According to Pradip Bohora, spokesperson of Naraharinath rural municipality, the accident occurred when they were attempting to shift an electric pole, which accidentally came into contact with the electric wire overhead.

Tragically, both Keshav Raj Thapa, who served as a teacher at Mangalasaini Secondary School, and his nephew Ganga Thapa succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

This unfortunate incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, prompting authorities to investigate further into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
