Two killed in tragic road accident



INARUWA: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of two individuals last night at Khanar Chowk of Itahari sub-metropolis-12.

The deceased have been identified as Bipin Dahal, 23, and Abhi Dahal, an eight-year-old from Belbari-8, Morang. Deputy Superintendent of Police of Sunsari, Naveenkrishna Bhandari, confirmed the fatalities.

The victims lost their lives when the motorcycle they were riding was struck by a truck.

The accident occurred when a motorcycle (Pra. 1-02-041 P 6619) traveling from Biratnagar to Itahari collided with a truck (Pra. 1-02-001 Ka. 4578) heading in the opposite direction.

Both motorcycle riders sustained severe injuries in the collision and succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital, according to DSP Bhandari.

The truck driver, Pradeep Koirala, 30, of Itahari-2, has been apprehended by the police for further investigation and necessary action.
