Lactating mother dies in primary health center in Bajura

BAJURA: A lactating mother has died during treatment in Kolti of Bajura.

Ansu Budha,22, of Dopki in Tajakot Rural Municipality-5, Humla has given birth 12 days ago and she died during treatment at Kolti Primary Health Center in Budhinanda Municipality.

She had given birth at the Madana health post of Tajakot rural municipality on December 28. She was brought to the primary health center in Kolti after her health condition deteriorated, said Dr. Ranjit Shah of the center. Following the delivery, she is reported to have suffered respiratory complications.

According to Dr. Shah, she could have been saved if she was taken to a well-equipped hospital for treatment on time. The new born is said to be in normal condition.
