29 PhD holders from Dalit community felicitated

KATHMANDU: Various PhD holders from Dalit community have been honoured here today. They were felicitated at a program organized by Samata Foundation here.

Those honoured on the occasion are: Dr Madan Prasad Pariyar, Dr Chet Bahadur Pariyar, Dr Dorna Rasali, Dr Bishnu Pariyar, Dr Purna Bahadur Nepali, Dr Indira Sundas, Dr Man Bahadur BK, Dr Rabina G. Rasaily, Dr Bishnu Maya Pariyar, Dr Gangaram Bishwokarma and Dr Shyam Pariyar.

Also honoured at the program include Dr Yam Bahadur Kisan, Dr Aita Bishwokarma, Dr Amit Pariyar, Dr Buddhi Nepali, Dr Ramesh Sunam, Dr Mitra Pariyar, Dr Nirmal Kumar Bishwokarma, Dr Shree Pariyar, Dr Kirpa Ram Bishwokarma, Dr Mom Bishwokarma, Dr Ramesh Pariyar, Dr Dinesh Harijan, Dr Ratna Bahadur Bagchand, Dr Shyam Lal Magarati, Dr Amar Bahadur BK, Dr Nanda Lal Darnal, Dr Yam Bahadur BK and Dr Rudra Bahadur Charmakar.

On the occasion, Minister of State for Forests and Environment, Rupa BK, Foundation chair Dr Madan Pariyar, and former Ambassador Padam Sundas also jointly honoured senior advocate Narayan Nepal along with PhD holders.

State Minister BK said all should raise voice from their respective areas to implement provisions related to Dalit rights.

Similarly, Foundation Chair Madan Prasad mentioned that the Foundation honoured PhD holders from Dalit community with an objective that it would inspire new generation of Dalit community.
