GALKOT: Continuous rainfall has caused landslides along the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki corridor, resulting in a three-day closure of the route.

Transport services have been halted due to landslides in four locations, rendering the road impassable since Saturday morning, according to Bijay Yadav, Information Officer at the District Police Office.

Raj Khadka, Deputy Head of Baglung Municipality, noted that significant damage has occurred in Dablyang, Baglung Municipality-10, where the track itself has been washed away.

Landslides have also affected areas in Jaimini Municipality-5 Binamare, Jaimini Municipality-1 Theulekhola, and Jimirghat along the corridor.
